Summary and Conclusion

Is volume important? Based upon 22+ years of data, it is not.

In other chapters we used indicators or setups in a stand-alone fashion (as we did in this chapter) and in many of these cases an obvious edge existed. But, in looking at volume as a stand-alone indicator, there does not appear to be an obvious edge.
